Excursions

Blue
Lagoon
The Blue Lagoon in (Icelandic: Bláa lónið) is a geothermal spa located in southwestern Iceland. This is one of the country’s most visited attractions, where steamy waters emerge from a lava formation. The hot springs are rich in minerals such as silicon and sulfur, and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is said to help people suffering from skin conditions such as psoriasis. The temperature of the bathing water in the lagoon’s swimming area is between 37 and 39 °C.

Visit to the city of
Reykjavik
Reykjavik, on the coast of Iceland, is the country’s capital and largest city. It features the National Museum and the Saga Museum, which explore Iceland’s Viking history. The impressive concrete church Hallgrimskirkja and the rotating glass dome Perlan offer panoramic views of the sea and surrounding hills. An example of the island’s volcanic activity is the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, near the village of Grindavík.

Thingvellir National Park
Þingvellir (Thingvellir) is a historic site and national park in Iceland located east of Reykjavík. It is famous for housing the Alþing (Althing), the place where the Icelandic parliament met from the 10th to the 18th centuries. Also located there are Þingvellir Church and ancient stone ruins. The park is situated in a steep valley formed by the separation of two tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures, such as the Almannagjá fault.

Geysir and the
Strokkur Geyser
Geysir and Strokkur geysers are one of Iceland’s great natural attractions. Geysir gave its name to all geysers worldwide. Also known as the Great Geysir, it is the oldest known geyser and one of the most impressive examples of this phenomenon globally. It is located in the Haukadalur Valley, on Laugarfjall hill, where, 400 meters further south, the Strokkur geyser can also be found.

Gullfoss.
The Golden Falls
Located at the eastern end of the Golden Circle, Gullfoss has established itself as Iceland’s most famous waterfall. Besides being part of this popular tourist route, Gullfoss has captivated tourists and Icelanders alike with the sheer power of its cascades and the breathtaking scenery they create, both in winter and summer.
